Killing Joke (gegründet 1978) sind eine britische Rockband zwischen Post-Punk, Elektronik und Industrial Rock. Bekannt geworden auch durch ihren Einfluss auf andere, bekanntere Bands von Metallica und Soundgarden über Nirvana bis Nine Inch Nails und Marilyn Manson.
Die Thematik der Texte passt beinahe etwas prophetisch auf die aktuellen Zustände, die Songs wurden aber schon vor mehreren Jahren aufgenommen.
Jedenfalls wohl eher nichts für Freunde der Klassik, soviel ist auch klar.
Aber 1984 oder Brave New World liest man ja auch nicht weil sie so schön sind oder zur gehobenen Unterhaltungsliteratur zählen.
